In the last few weeks I have read many stories of survival, acts of selflessness and heroism, and people banding together to give emotional support and trying to help those who have lost loved ones, homes and everything they own. Courage is defined as “having the mental or moral strength to venture, persevere and withstand danger, fear or difficulty”. Courage is “having strength in the face of pain or grief”. Many of us will never know the true meaning of courage, but some of us have already experienced it.
I have put together a sobering slideshow of the recent events caused by Mother Nature and one lone lunatic. Photos can be more powerful than words at times.
