I made the most delicious tomato lentil soup yesterday. It is a hearty soup that only needs bread and a glass of wine to make the meal complete.
The wine was a 2010 Ridgeline Vineyards Cab Reserve Lone Pine Vineyard. It was bright cherry red with mixed berries and spice on the nose. I tasted dark fruit, pepper and vanilla. Soft tannins and a touch of oak gave way to a long finish. It was a perfect accompaniment to the soup.
I know that I promised a finished knitting project today, but I won’t have it done until tomorrow. Here is a “glimpse” of what I am making. I realize that you have no idea what it is…and I photographed it this way on purpose. I love suspense!
